Starus Update
I pretty much like the good vibes Mastodon is bringing to my leasure times. It’s a fresh start. But I wonder how many not-nerdy people will jump in from Twitter.

Let’s f***ing do this!
Extraordinary Attorney Woo
I really think that at least one episode of Extraordinary Attorney Woo should be played at the cinema so Park Eun-bin can get her totally deserved Oscar for the Best Actress in a Leading Role.
Abiut Twitter’s awful UX
Just a few things are worse in their category than Twitter’s awful UX.
The only plausible reason is that they’re doing it on purpose.
Junts quits
Un 55,73% de los afiliados se ha pronunciado a favor de salir del Ejecutivo de Pere Aragonès, y que Junts per Catalunya pase a la oposición La Vanguardia
And I don’t give a damn shit.
Status Update
I really like the Airpods Pro, but every time I want to listen to some music / podcast while commuting they’re out of juice. Wired earphones where have you gone?
Status Update
iOS 16’s spotlight is embarrassingly slow. Like, “wait(5000)” slow. How could this even pass QA?
Status Update
Happy to discover that Supertramp’s Soupbox Opera in their Live From Paris album is marked as one of the most played songs. ☺️

The New Seiko 5 GMT
Last may I talked about the purpose of a GMT and today the holy grail of the GMT world has been announced, and oh boy! I LOVE IT!!
The new Seiko 5 GMT is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
I’m getting it no matter what it takes.
Rolex availability
I’ve heard stories about the almost impossible chance to get a Rolex, but this comment from Reddit really kick me off:
Rolex lost me last year when I wanted to buy a new Submariner. My AD said that the only way I could get one was to buy a two tone day-date, which would qualify me for the wait list for the Sub, at which point they would buy back the DD if I wanted to sell it. WTF? With only one AD within hours of me, I was stuck and so I passed. BCsinBC
About WWDC
For the first time in 13 years I don’t care about WWDC. I will certainly check those API announcements out, but I most certainly won’t follow the keynotes in real time.
About the new Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch In Moonshine Gold
I really, really, REALLY like the new Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch In Moonshine Gold.
Unfortunately, 34K8 is above my threshold unless we’re talking “Pesetas”.
Apple Retail and Unions
NEW: We published audio of an Apple VP's anti-union speech circulated among 58,000 retail workers yesterday. Apple VP Deirdre O'Brien told workers that she was worried about bringing in "an organization" that does not "share our commitment to you.” —Lauren Kaori (@LaurenKGurley)I see no harm in lobbying your employees not to unionize as long as you stop promoting yourself as a top employer.
The purpose of a GMT
I really love traveling. I do. And one thing I’ve been struggling with is to find a good GMT watch to bring on my trips.
Some may say "Oh, just get a Rolex GMT-Master II -if you can afford it- it'll serve you as a travel watch and also as a dress watch". And frankly, I disagree.
Maybe, and I say maybe, you could travel to Switzerland and feel relatively safe with a 10K watch on your wrist. But why would I need a GMT watch if I'm in the same time zone as my home country? GMT watches really shine when the time difference is greater than just a few hours. And I wouldn't feel safe traveling to other continents with a watch that expensive.
The sweet spot for me is a few-hundred euros watch that is almost unknown for the stealers. Even better if it's already scratched. A GMT watch for travel should be UNAPPEALING unless you're some kind of monarch living abroad with more security than moral (Pun intended).
